2017/18 CHOSEN CHARITY

We were delighted to present a cheque for £800 to The Roseland Sailing Trust, our chosen charity for last year. Some of the children who have benefitted from the work of the Trust were from the local school in Veryan. They came along for an afternoon of bowling activity at the Bowls Club. The school are very keen to extend this on a regular basis in the coming season.

LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEW SEASON

This season we have several new members on the Management Committee and we wish them every success Angela Grose is taking on Treasurer, Andy Parker Fixture Secretary, Dave Shepperson Club Captain, Jill Tregunna Ladies' Secretary.

This year Veryan will be hosting a CCWIBA SWL Game against Devon, several Ladies County competitions including all the finals and, of course, there will be the CCWIBA President's Day.

Both Men's and Ladies' teams are entering National and County Competition and we are hoping for success.

CHARITY FOR THE FORTHCOMING SEASON

The chosen Charity for the year is SPECTRUM Cornwall's branch of the Autistic Society which supports families with children who have autism, as well as helping adults in the Autistic Spectrum. So lots of hard work and dedication in an endeavour to exceed last year's total collected.
